Employment Assistance Fund

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations operates a programme called the Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) that helps people with disability and their employers by providing financial assistance for work-related equipment, modifications and services. The Fund provides assistance which improves access to employment, work productivity and independence of people with disability.

Applications for assistance from the EAF can be submitted by a Disability Employment Services member such as Comepass, by employers or by individuals.

This programme is run by JobAccess, and Comepass Employment Services has access to assistance from the AEF for clients about to go into work or who are already in work. Comepass also retains the services of a Workplace Modifications Assessor

who advises our clients, employers and other DES service providers on eligibility for accessing the EAF and what modifications would be required.
